To receive busing to Oak Grove, Valley View, and Washburn you MUST live or have a daycare address in that school's enrollment area. To receive busing to Pond Center you must live or have daycare address in the Indian Mounds or Poplar Bridge enrollment area. To receive busing to Southwood Center you must live or have a daycare address in the Normandale Hills, Olson, Ridgeview, or Westwood enrollment areas. Step into Preschool is currently full. Please reach out to our office at 952-681-6200 with questions. Step into Preschool is a class designed for children who turn 3 after September 1st, 2023. Children will get a taste of what preschool is like in this class. A licensed teacher will provide opportunities for children to work on social emotional, language and literacy skills through read alouds, conversation and singing with friends and adults other than their caregivers. Playtime on the playground and/or in the gym will be included throughout the day. Classes will be offered 2 days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30am at Valley View Elementary School. Registrations will be processed in the order in which they are received based on your child's date of birth. Children MUST be 3 years old and potty trained before attending class. Sliding fee scale applies. This class will be billed monthly. You will also be eligible for early preschool registration for the 2024-2025 school year when enrolled in this class.

Summer Preschool class registration opens APRIL 8TH at 8AM! Preschool summer programming at Pond Center is a four-week language and literacy rich preschool experience for children who will be in Kindergarten (Kamp Kinder) or in 4 year old preschool (Fantastic Fours) in the fall. This is a great opportunity to experience preschool with licensed teachers and an engaging curriculum. Parents with students in Fantastic Fours must provide students with their own transportation. Camp SAFARI is a full day school-age child care program for youth entering kindergarten through 4th grade. The philosophy of Camp SAFARI is to lead children to discover friendship, independence and confidence through art, music, sports, drama and recreational activities. The staff and program facilitates a warm and secure environment for channeling children's energy and meeting their individual needs. Camp SAFARI is located in the following buildings this year: Ridgeview and Valley View Elementary schools. A light breakfast, afternoon snack and many fun activities are included in your tuition. *Space is limited, site is not guaranteed.* Summit SAFARI is for students entering 5th and 6th graders offering new and fresh opportunities that are geared for this age. We will have leadership opportunities, community service and so much more. This program will be held at Valley View Middle School.

On Fridays at Valley View Middle School we will have a partnership program with InSports. InSports is a nonprofit organization with a purpose to help kids participate in sports, regardless of financial barriers. InSports will be hosting games and activities, as well as social emotional lessons. Friday Partnership will be from 2:45-4:45 on Fridays for Valley View Middle School students only. Kids' SAFARI is a before and after school program offered for children in kindergarten through grade 5. The focus of these programs is on school-age childcare and enrichment opportunities designed to meet the changing needs of children and families.
