    Energize your brain and body. In this course, you will learn ways to activate and stimulate your nervous system. Course uses lecture and hands on practice of using holistic mind and body techniques. In this class, you will identify your own relationship with depression, demonstrate activities to awaken and energize yourself, and understand the integrated techniques that you can use with your depression.
  • Health Rhythms - Drumming for Your Health

    Research shows that drumming is beneficial for your health and wellness.  Course uses lecture and hands on practice.  The instructor will lead you through a Health Rhythms session.  You will have the opportunity to make a rhythm instrument.  Supply fee of $5 paid to instructor in class.  In this class, you will define recreational drumming and music making, explain the benefits of drumming for health, and gain understanding about how drumming may benefit your health issues.  Open to all; no music or drumming experience necessary.  Bring a drum if you have one otherwise instruments will be provided.

In this course, you will learn about sleep hygiene and steps to natural, restful sleep. Course uses lecture and hands on practice of using holistic mind and body techniques.In this class, you will explain common challenges to sleep, analyze what factors in your life impact your own sleep issues, design a plan for your own better sleep, and identify which holistic techniques you can use to get your beauty rest.
  • Pediatric & Child CPR with AED Certification

    Participants learn how to prevent, recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in infants and children under 12 years of age. Along with CPR, topics include first aid for choking, using a breathing barrier and disposable gloves, and reducing the risk of injury. You will learn through discussion, lecture, movies, textbook and hands-on practice. Quarterly online refreshers are now available and convenient email reminders when your recertification is due. Class participants who provide a valid email address will receive an email with a link to their digital certificate after the end of the course. Certification received: Pediatric & Child CPR/AED - recognized as valid for two years. Park on the north side of the building, 2nd Floor, Lunchroom (Rm 236/237)
