    Join your one year old child in a welcoming space filled with age-appropriate activities led by licensed early childhood teachers. Through play, songs, books, art, and exploration, children will develop foundational developmental skills. The adults will connect with our licensed parent educator to learn together and support each other. This is a non-separating class and parent education will take place in the children’s classroom. Children must be 1 by September 1st, 2025 to attend this class. This class will meet for the whole school year. Learning goals for this class are: The child will explore the classroom and learn through play. Parents/Caregivers will gain knowledge, skills, and resources about raising one year olds. Registration & Payment: Refer to the chart above to determine your fee level based on family size and income. All families are welcome. No family will be denied participation due to inability to pay. For fee-paying levels, half of the payment is due at registration, with the second half processed in mid-December. A receipt will be emailed for each payment.     Explore & Learn with Your Two-Year-Old! Join your child in a fun, engaging classroom designed to support their growing independence. A licensed early childhood teacher will guide their exploration through sensory play, art, and hands-on learning. Our licensed parent educator will lead parenting discussion topics such as toilet learning, behavior, and cognitive growth. This is a gradual separating class, so adults will eventually go to a different classroom for the parent discussion time. Children must be 2 by September 1, 2025 to attend this class. This class will meet for the whole school year. Learning goals for this class are: The child will independently explore the classroom and learn through play. The child will comfortably separate from their adult. Parents/Caregivers will gain knowledge, skills, and resources about raising two year olds. The Thursday section of this class has sibling care available. Sibling care requires a separate registration when enrolling for this class. **Sibling care is currently full.     Bloomington Preschool is committed to preparing your child for success in kindergarten and beyond! Starting in the 2025-26 school year all preschool classes will be held at Washburn Early Learning Center (formerly Washburn Elementary) located at 8401 Xerxes Ave. S., Bloomington, MN 55431. Preschool is an exciting milestone in your child's life. Our licensed teachers set up classrooms to help children discover a love for learning while working on social emotional skills that will help get them ready for lifelong learning. Bloomington Preschool classes are for 3 and 4 year-olds. Children have both large and small group learning experiences in literacy, writing, math, music, art, and science. We offer Preschool for Four's 5 days per week (M-F) for 2.5 hours in the morning (9:45am-12:15pm) or afternoon (1:30pm-4:00pm). Children must be 4 years old as of September 1st, 2025 to attend Preschool for Four's. Students who are 4 years old by September 1st who live or attend daycare in Bloomington and are located at least half a mile from Washburn Early Learning Center (formerly Washburn Elementary) are eligible for busing. We offer Preschool for Three's 2 days per week (Tuesdays & Thursdays), 3 days per week (Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays), or 5 days per week (M-F) for 2.5 hours. Children must be 3 years old as of September 1st, 2025 to attend Preschool for Three's. Parents/guardians of 3 year olds must provide transportation to and from school, unless a child is on an IEP and qualifies for Early Childhood Special Education busing. We offer Preschool SAFARI care for three and four year olds 5 days per week (M-F) for those families looking for optional, paid before or after class daycare. Children must be enrolled in a morning Preschool class in order to attend Preschool SAFARI Care. Care is available as early as 6:30am and as late as 6:00pm.   • 2025-26 Step into Preschool (starts Fall 2025)

    ***Step into Preschool is currently full. To add your child to the waiting list, please complete a registration for your child. You will be contacted by phone and email if a spot becomes available.*** Step into Preschool is a class designed for children who turn 3 after September 1st, 2025. Children will get a taste of what preschool is like in this class. A licensed teacher will provide opportunities for children to work on social emotional, language and literacy skills through read alouds, conversation and singing with friends and adults other than their caregivers. Playtime on the playground and/or in the gym will be included throughout the day. This class is offered for 2 hours, 2 days per week on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:45-11:45am. Registrations will be processed in the order in which they are received based on your child's date of birth. Children MUST be 3 years old and potty trained before attending class. Parents have the option to attend a parent education session monthly while their student is in class. Sliding fee scale applies. This class will be billed monthly. You will also be eligible for early preschool registration for the 2026-2027 school year when enrolled in this class.

    Gr. 3-7 Create a wand and magical pendant using TinkerCAD while learning 3D design skills. They'll also do fun Harry Potter-inspired challenges and create themed video games while waiting for the prints to finish. Student-designed pendants will be printed and sent home.   • American Red Cross - Lifeguard Training - Blended Learning

    American Red Cross Lifeguard Training-Blended Learning The American Red Cross Lifeguarding Program trains you to prevent, respond to, and provide care for aquatic emergencies. This comprehensive course covers CPR, AED, and First Aid, preparing you to handle breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until EMS arrives. Prerequisites (Must be met before the first class): Be 15 years old or older by the last day of class. Pass the following swim pretest: Swim 150 yards continuously (front crawl, breaststroke, or combination). Tread water for 2 minutes (legs only). Swim 50 yards (front crawl, breaststroke, or combination). Complete a timed event (1 minute 40 seconds): Swim 20 yards, retrieve a 10-pound object from 7-10 feet, return to surface, swim 20 yards on back (holding object), and exit the water without using ladder or steps. Attend and participate in all class sessions. Complete the online portion of the class (link will be emailed one week prior to class). A licensed parent educator will lead songs and games for you and baby as well as research based parenting topic discussions. Sleep, nutrition and self care are often discussed weekly. This is a non-separating class. This class will be offered both semesters with separate registration required for each. Families can join this class at anytime Learning goals for this class are: Adults will connect with their child and other families through play. Parents/Caregivers will gain knowledge, skills, and resources about raising infants. Please refer to the chart above to determine your level based on the size of your family and your income. Camp ends with scrimmages and games the final day where athletes can showcase their skills. Athletes should bring a water bottle and a nut-free snack. Balls are provided.
