Preschool summer programming is a four-week language and literacy rich preschool experience. Classes will be held July 8th-August 1st, Monday - Thursday from 9a-11:30a.
Camp SAFARI is full-day childcare for youth entering Kindergarten through 4th Grade in 2024-25. Summit SAFARI is for children entering 5th and 6th grade in 2024-25. *Space is limited, site is not guaranteed.*
Early Camp SAFARI is a full-day childcare for 3, 4 or 5-year olds that are currently enrolled in a Bloomington Public Schools Preschool program.
Kids' SAFARI is a before and after school program offered for children in kindergarten through grade 5. The focus of these programs is on school-age childcare and enrichment opportunities designed to meet the changing needs of children and families.
Preschool SAFARI is designed for families who desire an early learning education experience with a childcare component available. There will be a licensed preschool teacher giving preschool instruction for 2.5 hours during the day with a paraprofessional.
New for 2023-24, afterschool Targeted Services programming will now all be under one umbrella and called Fusion. It will be a 4 day a week program, Monday through Thursday from 2:45pm to 4:45pm.
Water Safety Instructor Training - Blended Learning
This course trains instructor candidates to teach the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim and other water safety programs. Prerequisites: On the first day, you must be able to pass a swimming stroke test. Attendance is mandatory to all class sessions. Be prepared to be both in and out of the water each day of class. Students must complete the online portion of the course (7-9 hours) in addition to participating in the classroom and water skill sessions. Once registered, information for accessing the online course will be emailed to the student, your email is required. Please bring the following items: verification of birth date (students must be 16 years of age by the last day of class), swimsuit (one piece for females), towels, writing utensil, paper, water bottle, bag lunch and snacks.
* Blended Learning Class: a link will be emailed one week prior to class beginning with online class curriculum, email address required.
* A minimum of 6 participants will be needed to run this class.*
