Preschool summer programming is a four-week language and literacy rich preschool experience. Classes will be held July 8th-August 1st, Monday - Thursday from 9a-11:30a.
Camp SAFARI is full-day childcare for youth entering Kindergarten through 4th Grade in 2024-25. Summit SAFARI is for children entering 5th and 6th grade in 2024-25. *Space is limited, site is not guaranteed.*
Early Camp SAFARI is a full-day childcare for 3, 4 or 5-year olds that are currently enrolled in a Bloomington Public Schools Preschool program.
Kids' SAFARI is a before and after school program offered for children in kindergarten through grade 5. The focus of these programs is on school-age childcare and enrichment opportunities designed to meet the changing needs of children and families.
Preschool SAFARI is designed for families who desire an early learning education experience with a childcare component available. There will be a licensed preschool teacher giving preschool instruction for 2.5 hours during the day with a paraprofessional.
New for 2023-24, afterschool Targeted Services programming will now all be under one umbrella and called Fusion. It will be a 4 day a week program, Monday through Thursday from 2:45pm to 4:45pm.
GRASP - Online is an on-line program for grades 4-8, that helps students maintain reading and math skills while they are on summer vacation. Each lesson is constructed to reinforce or reteach typical basic skills generally found in most curricula at a particular grade level.
The Grand Rapids Academic Summer Program is a correspondence program in reading and math for grades K-8. There is also an online version for grades 4-8. The program seeks to help students retain skills learned during the past school year by providing review exercises.
The GRASP lessons were written to correlate with the Common Core State Standards which 46 states have adopted.
