Preschool summer programming is a four-week language and literacy rich preschool experience. Classes will be held July 8th-August 1st, Monday - Thursday from 9a-11:30a.
Camp SAFARI is full-day childcare for youth entering Kindergarten through 4th Grade in 2024-25. Summit SAFARI is for children entering 5th and 6th grade in 2024-25. *Space is limited, site is not guaranteed.*
Early Camp SAFARI is a full-day childcare for 3, 4 or 5-year olds that are currently enrolled in a Bloomington Public Schools Preschool program.
Kids' SAFARI is a before and after school program offered for children in kindergarten through grade 5. The focus of these programs is on school-age childcare and enrichment opportunities designed to meet the changing needs of children and families.
Preschool SAFARI is designed for families who desire an early learning education experience with a childcare component available. There will be a licensed preschool teacher giving preschool instruction for 2.5 hours during the day with a paraprofessional.
New for 2023-24, afterschool Targeted Services programming will now all be under one umbrella and called Fusion. It will be a 4 day a week program, Monday through Thursday from 2:45pm to 4:45pm.

Amidst the picturesque landscapes of the Minnesota Valley Izaak Walton League, unleash your literary prowess in serene woodland, riverside, and natural spring settings. Engage in solo musings and collaborative prompts, honing your craft while embracing the great outdoors. Receive and offer insightful feedback, culminating in a public reading at the Kouba Gallery. Let nature inspire your prose in this transformative writing adventure!
"Shakespeare in the Woods." will step you into the world of Shakespearean theater with a riveting two-week immersion for high school theater aficionados (grades 9-12). Explore the authenticity of original practices, staging captivating performances amidst nature's grandeur. Dive into stage combat training set amidst the wild, using the woods as your stage for dynamic fight sequences. Embrace outdoor theater—let the woods be your backdrop, trees your set pieces, and nature's canvas your stage. Join us for an exhilarating theatrical odyssey under the open sky!
"Art in the Woods," will embark your student on a transformative artistic journey. This dynamic two-week exploration is designed for budding high school artists (grades 9-12). Amidst breathtaking woodland, riverside, and natural spring settings, unleash your creativity across mediums—painting, photography, sculpture, or multimedia art. Find inspiration in nature's palette, crafting masterpieces amidst serene landscapes. Engage in solo reflections and collaborative prompts, honing your craft and exchanging meaningful feedback. Showcase your artistic vision in a public exhibit at the Kouba Gallery. Join us to awaken your artistry amid nature's canvas!
Parents will drop off and pick up their child at the Izaak Walton League MN Valley Chaper, 6601 Auto Club Rd, Bloomington, MN 55438. This is a full day camp. Participants need to bring a nut-free lunch, 2 nut-free snacks, a water bottle, bug spray, and sunscreen.
