Discover the wonders of nature with your child in this hands-on outdoor class! Through play and exploration, children will develop math, science, and language skills while connecting with the natural world. A licensed early childhood teacher will guide activities that encourage curiosity and discovery at Pond-Dakota Mission Park (401 E 104th Street, Bloomington). If weather conditions prevent outdoor play for the full 90 minutes, class will be held indoors at Washburn Early Childhood Center.
This is a non-separating class and does not have parent education.
This class will be offered both semesters with separate registration required for each.
Learning goals for this class are:
Adults and children will connect with each other through exploring nature activities.
Children will develop a connection to a natural area and notice the changes in it across the seasons.
