  • Bloomington Drivers Education Classroom and Behind-the-Wheel Package - Fall 2018

    Bloomington Public School's Driver's Education program collaborates with A+ Driving School to provide students classroom/behind-the-wheel package options. These classes are for students who are not signed up to take it as a credit during their regular school day--high school credits are not earned.The total cost is $395.00 for the classroom & behind-the-wheel package. A $70 registration fee is due when enrolling. Students may enroll if they are currently 14 -1/2 years of age. Students must complete all 30 hours of classroom training.  After classroom instruction is completed, the student will need to pay $85 to A+ Driving School to receive their blue card, and will be given information about registering for the six hours of Behind-the-Wheel training with A+ Driving School. The remainder of the payments to A+ Driving School will be paid at the time of the Behind the Wheel lessons ($80 per lesson). Once the student receives their blue card they may take their state permit exam at a DVS exam station. The student will take the blue card along with the appropriate ID, social security number, corrective lenses (if needed), and fee to a Minnesota Drivers and Vehicle Services location. Transportation to the classroom instruction is the responsibility of the participant. A reminder e-mail will be sent prior to the start of class. Cancellations received 3 or more business days prior to the start of class will receive a refund less a $10 processing fee. Cancellations made less than 3 business days prior to the start of class will not receive a refund..
