Preschool summer programming is a four-week language and literacy rich preschool experience. Classes will be held July 8th-August 1st, Monday - Thursday from 9a-11:30a.
Camp SAFARI is full-day childcare for youth entering Kindergarten through 4th Grade in 2024-25. Summit SAFARI is for children entering 5th and 6th grade in 2024-25. *Space is limited, site is not guaranteed.*
Early Camp SAFARI is a full-day childcare for 3, 4 or 5-year olds that are currently enrolled in a Bloomington Public Schools Preschool program.
Kids' SAFARI is a before and after school program offered for children in kindergarten through grade 5. The focus of these programs is on school-age childcare and enrichment opportunities designed to meet the changing needs of children and families.
Preschool SAFARI is designed for families who desire an early learning education experience with a childcare component available. There will be a licensed preschool teacher giving preschool instruction for 2.5 hours during the day with a paraprofessional.
New for 2023-24, afterschool Targeted Services programming will now all be under one umbrella and called Fusion. It will be a 4 day a week program, Monday through Thursday from 2:45pm to 4:45pm.
Ages 3-6 Wish Upon a Ballet is a dance program for children that incorporates popular children's stories as well as ballet stories to create a dance class that is more than ballet steps. Using musical instruments, parachutes and scarves, students will create a complete fairy tale experience while they skip, leap, jump and spin. This way an introduction to the movements and vocabulary of ballet are taught in a fun and creative manner. Stories and songs are always entertaining and preschool friendly. Children will learn an appreciation of dance and music while developing strength and flexibility. Come join the fun! Children should wear comfortable clothes and ballet shoes. Shoes will be available for purchase on the first day of class for an extra fee.
Mayer Arts' belief about teaching is not only to provide training for those who are serious about learning, but also to just have fun! We teach proper technique, terminology, body awareness, and an appreciation for the arts. Our goal is that students will not only find a love for the arts, but also build healthy habits and self-esteem--skills that will be helpful to them for the rest of their lives!
