Camp SAFARI is full-day childcare for youth entering Kindergarten through 4th Grade in 2025-26. Summit SAFARI is for children entering 5th and 6th grade in 2025-25. *Space is limited, site is not guaranteed.*
Kids' SAFARI is a before and after school program offered for children in kindergarten through grade 5. The focus of these programs is on school-age childcare and enrichment opportunities designed to meet the changing needs of children and families.
Preschool SAFARI is designed for families who desire an early learning education experience with a childcare component available. There will be a licensed preschool teacher giving preschool instruction for 2.5 hours during the day with a paraprofessional.
New for 2023-24, afterschool Targeted Services programming will now all be under one umbrella and called Fusion. It will be a 4 day a week program, Monday through Thursday from 2:45pm to 4:45pm.
Early Camp SAFARI is a full-day childcare for 3, 4 or 5-year olds that are currently enrolled in a Bloomington Public Schools Preschool program.
The American Red Cross LIfeguarding Program prepares lifeguards to prevent, protect and respond to aquatic emergencies as well as provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illness until emergency medical services (EMS) professionals take over. This comprehensive course is designed to instruct participants in the skills and knowledge needed to become a lifeguard. The course also instructs participants in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED and First Aid. Participants will receive certifications in the above - certifications will be presented upon completion of attending all class sessions, passing all written exams, water skills and test. Prerequisites:
*The online portion of this class MUST be completed prior to the first night of class.
*Bring your swim suit, towels, snacks, lunch, water bottle, writing utensil and paper.
*A minimum of 5 participants will be needed to run this class.*
