Step into Preschool is designed for children who turn 3 after September 1st, 2024.
Camp SAFARI is full-day childcare for youth entering Kindergarten through 4th Grade in 2025-26. Summit SAFARI is for children entering 5th and 6th grade in 2025-25. *Space is limited, site is not guaranteed.*
Kids' SAFARI is a before and after school program offered for children in kindergarten through grade 5. The focus of these programs is on school-age childcare and enrichment opportunities designed to meet the changing needs of children and families.
Preschool SAFARI is designed for families who desire an early learning education experience with a childcare component available. There will be a licensed preschool teacher giving preschool instruction for 2.5 hours during the day with a paraprofessional.
New for 2023-24, afterschool Targeted Services programming will now all be under one umbrella and called Fusion. It will be a 4 day a week program, Monday through Thursday from 2:45pm to 4:45pm.
Early Camp SAFARI is a full-day childcare for 3, 4 or 5-year olds that are currently enrolled in a Bloomington Public Schools Preschool program.
Participants learn how to prevent, recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in infants and children under 12 years of age. Along with CPR, topics include first aid for choking, using a breathing barrier and disposable gloves, and reducing the risk of injury. You will learn through discussion, lecture, movies, textbook and hands-on practice. Quarterly online refreshers are now available and convenient email reminders when your recertification is due. Please note: The American Red Cross requires each person who is taking the class to provide their own individual and unique email address and phone number in order to be able to receive your digital certificate. Certification received: Pediatric & Child CPR/AED - valid for two years. Bring a brown bag lunch to class.
