On the Road to Reading

2024-2025 Early Childhood Family Education -
Bloomington ECFE 2024-2025

Knowing the alphabet is important for learning to read, but there is so much more kids need to learn before that! In this class you and your child will be able to enjoy activities that support a child’s pre-reading skills. Enjoy activities like names of animals and the sounds they make, puzzles, writing in sand or shaving cream, listening to and retelling stories etc. Come and stay with your child during this all interaction class. Dress casual because we’re going to have fun!

This is a non-separating class and does not have parent education.

Learning Goals for this class are:

Parents/Caregivers will connect with their child through books, language, and play Children will explore pre-reading activities through play.

Please refer to the chart above to determine your level based on the size of your family and your income. You will be able to choose one of these levels during the registration process. All families are welcome. No one will be denied participation due to inability to pay.
