Step into Preschool is designed for children who turn 3 after September 1st, 2024.
Camp SAFARI is full-day childcare for youth entering Kindergarten through 4th Grade in 2025-26. Summit SAFARI is for children entering 5th and 6th grade in 2025-25. *Space is limited, site is not guaranteed.*
Kids' SAFARI is a before and after school program offered for children in kindergarten through grade 5. The focus of these programs is on school-age childcare and enrichment opportunities designed to meet the changing needs of children and families.
Preschool SAFARI is designed for families who desire an early learning education experience with a childcare component available. There will be a licensed preschool teacher giving preschool instruction for 2.5 hours during the day with a paraprofessional.
New for 2023-24, afterschool Targeted Services programming will now all be under one umbrella and called Fusion. It will be a 4 day a week program, Monday through Thursday from 2:45pm to 4:45pm.
Early Camp SAFARI is a full-day childcare for 3, 4 or 5-year olds that are currently enrolled in a Bloomington Public Schools Preschool program.
Come to an early evening class and enjoy time playing with your 2 to 5 year old child(ren). Our licensed teachers provide toys and age-appropriate activities so you and your child will connect, learn through play, and explore. We will sing songs, read books, make art, and more! Adults will also have time to talk with other parents and a licensed parent educator.
This is a non-separating class.
Learning goals for this class are:
Adults will connect with their child and other families in a classroom environment through play.
Children will have parent support to navigate a classroom environment, peer interactions, and learning experiences.
Children must meet the age range by September 1st to attend this class. Younger siblings of a registered child are welcome to also attend. If you plan to bring a sibling, please let us know by sending an email to: kjacobson@isd271.org
Please refer to the chart above to determine your level based on the size of your family and your income. You will be able to choose one of these levels during the registration process. All families are welcome. No one will be denied participation due to inability to pay.
