Gr. K-5 The mission of the Chess with Sophorn program is to provide an opportunity for elementary-age children to develop strategies and critical thinking skills, while increasing their knowledge and understanding of the game, but most importantly, enjoy playing the game of chess and having fun with friends. Equipment is provided.After School Enrichment Class Procedure1. Let your teacher know about your child’s registration in an after-school class. 2. There is a check in and a short snack time in the lunchroom before class starts so please send a snack with your child. 3. Instructors escort kids to the classroom after snack and deliver them either back to Kids Safari (if they are enrolled that afternoon) or kids not in Kids Safari to the main entrance for parent pick up. We will not send kids out to cars so please come to the door and check out with the instructor. 4. Notify the school of absences or early pickups.
