  • Raising Siblings

    2, 3, or more children in a family has its challenges and cheers. Let’s talk and address those cheers and challenges in a class with other families. Part of the class you will get time in your child's classroom singing, doing creative activities and snack time. You will also have time to talk with other parents and a licensed parent educator. Parent discussions will provide support and topics such as raising more than one child, birth order, temperaments, development, guiding behavior, guiding relationships amongst other topics. This is a gradual separation class. Please refer to the chart above to determine your level based on the size of your family and your income. You will be able to choose one of these levels during the registration process. All families are welcome. No one will be denied participation due to inability to pay.

Join this class with your children to connect, learn through play, and have fun! A licensed early childhood teacher will set up the classroom for your children to explore sensory, art, and learning materials together. Parents/caregivers will have time to talk in another classroom with a licensed parent educator discussing parent topics such as raising more than one child, birth order, temperaments, development, guiding behavior, guiding relationships and more. Gradual separation will happen throughout the semester. Children under the age of 2 may be required to stay with their adult. Please register each child that will attend this class. Learning goals for this class are: Families will connect with their children and each other through play. The child over the age of 2 will begin to comfortably separate from their adult. Parents/Caregivers will gain knowledge, skills, and connections for their family. Please refer to the chart above to determine your level based on the size of your family and your income.   • SATURDAY ECFE Stay and Play Classes

    We are expanding to Saturdays! Come enjoy time with your young child. Once a month, we will have class from 10:00-11:15am at our Pond Center location. At each event, our licensed teachers will have different fun filled learning activities. Sign up for a couple or join us for the whole school year! Pre registration is required. Please refer to the chart above to determine your level based on the size of your family and your income. You will be able to choose one of these levels during the registration process.   • STEAM

    Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) are usually focused on in the older grade level classes, but in our class you and your young child will discover ways to experience these topics together. We will be focusing on several areas that make up STEAM; balls going down a ramp, magnets, balancing, coding, and painting with something other than a paint brush. This is a non separating class and does not have parent education. Learning goals for this class are: Adults and children will connect with each other through STEAM learning activities. Parent/Caregivers will discover new STEAM activities to explore and learn with their child. Please refer to the chart above to determine your level based on the size of your family and your income.     This class is special for Somali-speaking families. In this Somali culture-focused class, parents come with their children to play, sing, songs, meet other families, and learn together. A licensed early childhood teacher provides fun learning activities for children birth to five years old whose home language is Somali. A licensed parent educator will talk with parents about parenting issues, child development, making friends, behavior, and more. A Somali Liaison staff person will be available to help out with anything that’s needed. The class will meet weekly for one and a half hours (90 minutes).     In this Somali culture-focused class, parents and their children will play, sing songs, meet other families, and learn together. A licensed early childhood teacher provides fun learning activities for children from birth to five years. A licensed parent educator will talk with parents about parenting issues, child development, making friends, behavior, and more. Classes will have parent education in the children’s classroom at the beginning and work towards gradual separation in another room later. Children under the age of 2 may be required to stay with their adult. This class meets every week for the whole school year. This class is for Somali-speaking families. A Somali Liaison staff person will be available to help out with language translation and support. Learning goals for this class are: The child will independently explore the classroom and learn through play. The child will begin to comfortably separate from their adult. Parents/Caregivers will gain knowledge, skills, and cultural connections for their Somali family.   • Welcome Little Baby

    Join us for a FREE 6 week class! Parent(s) and their new baby (0-4 months) can join us for 6 weeks of classes. Every week families will connect, talk about their joys and concerns of having a new baby, and cover the following topics with our licensed parent educator: Our family story Adjusting to parenting Development (0-4 months) Safety (car seat, sleep, baby proofing) Sleep/Feeding/eating/illness Routines and schedules Registration is ongoing for this class and you can join any time during the year. Please note: In the registration system, it appears the class continues for the whole school year. However, you will only be attending for 6 weeks.
  • What's On Your Mind? (Virtual Parent Education Class)

    The kids are in bed (hopefully) and your mind is whirling with all the things you did today and all the things you still need to do. Take a 45-minute break and join a “NO JUDGMENT” place to talk with other parents/caregivers about your kids, and parenting challenges or share a new tip on helping your kids eat healthy food. This parent/caregiver class will focus on the topics that address the issues that are important to you. Come hear some new fresh ideas from a licensed parent educator and other parents/caregivers.   • YEAR LONG Bloomington 2 Year Old Explorers

    This class will meet both 1st and 2nd semester (Year-long class). Two year olds are not babies anymore and they are not preschoolers yet. They are taking on new challenges everyday and staff are ready and prepared for all the adventures. New words, new friends, new feelings are all part of the two year olds experience at school. A licensed early childhood teacher has set up the classrooms designed to discover shapes, art materials, and more. Parents/caregivers will have time during class to be with a licensed parent educator discussing toilet learning, behavior and cognitive growth. Gradual separation will happen throughout the year. Children must be 2 by September 1st to attend this class. Please refer to the chart above to determine your level based on the size of your family and your income. You will be able to choose one of these levels during the registration process. All families are welcome. No one will be denied participation due to inability to pay. IF you are registering at a fee paying level, one half of your payment will be taken upon initial registration and the other half will be processed mid-January.
