We offer Preschool for Four's 5 days per week (M-F) for 2.5 hours at Pond and Southwood Centers and for those who live in the attendance areas of Oak Grove, Valley View, and Washburn Elementary. To receive busing to Oak Grove, Valley View, and Washburn you MUST live or have a daycare address in that school's enrollment area. To receive busing to Pond Center you must live or have daycare address in the Indian Mounds or Poplar Bridge enrollment area. To receive busing to Southwood Center you must live or have a daycare address in the Normandale Hills, Olson, Ridgeview, or Westwood enrollment areas. Step into Preschool is currently full. Please reach out to our office at 952-681-6200 with questions. Step into Preschool is a class designed for children who turn 3 after September 1st, 2023. Children will get a taste of what preschool is like in this class. A licensed teacher will provide opportunities for children to work on social emotional, language and literacy skills through read alouds, conversation and singing with friends and adults other than their caregivers. Playtime on the playground and/or in the gym will be included throughout the day. Classes will be offered 2 days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30am at Valley View Elementary School. Registrations will be processed in the order in which they are received based on your child's date of birth. Children MUST be 3 years old and potty trained before attending class. Sliding fee scale applies. This class will be billed monthly. You will also be eligible for early preschool registration for the 2024-2025 school year when enrolled in this class.

Summer Galaxy is a program for students entering grades 7th-8th in fall 2024. All youth involved will be empowered to work together and serve others in the community through service learning projects, recreation, arts and crafts and other daily activities including field trips.

Registration will begin on April 15th at 8AM!

Gr. 4-8 3D printing is here to stay! This camp is for campers who have no or limited experience with 3D printing and is ideal for campers who like to draw, design and see their creations come to life.= Campers will be learning the ropes of 3D modeling and printing and use TinkerCAD to design parts for their robots. By the end of the week, they will have 2 DC-powered robots--a sketch bot and a drive bot. Campers must be comfortable with using a laptop and mouse to design their creations. Bring a water bottle and nut-free snack daily.

New! Gr. 2-6 Campers will design 3D objects using TinkerCAD® (an online web app) and use the 3D slicing program, Cura, to bring their creations to life. We will be designing a droid. Create fun designs to complete different out-of-this-world CAD challenges. Two 3D models will be printed to bring home. Printing and material fees are included. Bring a water bottle and nut-free snack daily.

New! Let's get together to create festive decor. Great for your home or office. We will be using yarn, beads and more to create 4th of July inspired art!

New Class! Learn how to create fun and easy fluid art. Instead of paint brushes, we will use gravity to move the paint and different techniques to create two ocean-inspired pours. It's a lot of fun (and somewhat addicting!) and a great way to spark your creative energy. You will create two 8"x 8" canvases and transport them home in a provided tray. Your final piece will change during transportation and when it is completely dry.

Learn with a Red Cross instructor who will guide you through hands-on practice of lifesaving and first aid skills. Learn to recognize and respond to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. Successful students will receive a certificate of Adult CPR/AED and First Aid valid for two years. A book will be available for you to borrow during the class. New! Are you seeking opportunities to practice speaking Spanish? If so, this is the class for you! Instructors will engage participants each week with real-life conversation scenarios to encourage chatting and conversation. Conversation topics include: 'un poco de todo' a little of everything and everyday Spanish. In this dynamic and hands-on class, participants will practice useful Spanish vocabulary and conversation components that can be applied to the home, workplace, travel, leisure. etc. Start speaking Spanish today! Open to new and previous Spanish conversation participants for beginner level participants. Basic computer experience and the ability to access zoom is required.

New! Gr. K-3 You - are - the - lead scientist in charge of exploring alien technology and funky, gooey, gunky, glopping slimes! In your Lab you'll discover and explore the properties of different exciting alien slime every day! Continue your mission as you concoct an "erupting" alien, engineer a hovercraft, create your own planetary night lamp, and many more fun STEAM activities. Join us in this wacky, funfilled camp. Bring a nut-free snack and water bottle to class.
